This is tha APP I use for simply reading the Bible with tremendous searches and direct connection to the full text Chapter and Verse. Couldnt ask for a better APP for this purpose. I use other Apps for their additional features but this is just a great one for concentration of the subject.

The app wont open. It just crashes every time.

I have spent time reading the bible and made notes on the note page. When I go back to read my notes only a small portion of the notes I made are visible to read. Annoyed.

Excellent tool to study the bible and read it while am away from home. I recommend everyone to download this.

I just started using this, but so far, Im finding its quick and very useful.

While I hope more features will become availalbe in the future this is well done. Simple and efficient.

This app is pretty great, especially being that its free. I was surprised to see that this is the only free bible app, and sort of disappointed. Its very user friendly, clean and well-designed. I love the search feature; it works well and is easy to use. I would like, however, to have a few different choices of types of bibles--I prefer the NIV or NLT bible to the KJV of the bible, so it would be nice to have that option. Also, it would be nice to have a way to write and save some notes. If a few additions were made, this would be a fantastic app not only for reading and consulting the bible, but also a full-on tool for walking with the Lord. Thank you so much for providing this fantastic app for free.

I was very impressed that Apple had the Bible you can down load for free. You go Apple Thank You!!!!!!!!!!!

What it lacks in bells and whistles it more than makes up for in speed and ease of use. Once they incorporate other versions and notes this will be a must buy $ app. This one time you get more than what you pay for. Thank you all for your time and effort.

The only reason I didn;t give this app 5 stars is because I would love to see a dark theme. That said, the app is fantastic for Bible study. Its easy to read through books and chapters or to search for terms and compare similar verses, different accounts of a given event, and single prophecies as related across the centuries. At $0.99, its an indispensible purchase for the Mac Bible researcher. After all, you dont always need a bloated memory hog loaded with video and photos. Sometimes, you just want a quick search or read. River provides that.

It seems that the update for this product (version 1.2) does not update. It keeps starting over and over, please fix this.

Other than the new update, not updating, its a good app.

This software worked flawlessly until I updated it. Now the search freezes up, also the journal does not work.

Sounded good but if you are wanting it for just an offline KJV version Bible, you will get that. If you want it for the journal/note taking ability, forget it. The App crashed EVERY TIME I click on the Journal button. Hopefully this will be fixed in future updates.

Maybe just my computer but Iʻve got an app that does not work very sad.

Tried installing the past update as well as this one on Snow Leopard and still crashes.

Im running Snow Leopard and this app work great. Well worth the cost! This is exactly what I was looking for...

Thank you for creating this app! The journal entries are very helpful for me as I read through the word of God. I love that when you click on a word in the KJV, it gives you the Srongs Concordance definition. Great job!

Best Bible App for the Mac, period! Why? - It loads fast! - It runs fast! - Search results are instant - Tap on any word for Strongs definition - Two finger tap (right click)/Look Up for Dictionary, Thesaurus and Wikipedia all in one popup. - Best interface out there. Clean, simple and easy to use. Even my technically challenged Dad (in his sixties) loves it! Even if you have a Bible Library Software, youll want this because of its clean interface and lightning quick response. Hands down the best Bible App.

I love this app, the only thing is can you add an NIV version of the bible!
